We understand that some patients with dental anxiety will need more than music and a great view to calm their nerves. So at Uptown Dental Associates, we offer three levels of dental sedation to settle those nerves.

• Inhaled sedation is the mildest form. You breathe in the gas through a small mask placed over your nose. This is completely safe, even for children, and the effects wear off immediately. You will be able to drive yourself home after your appointment.
• Oral conscious sedation is a prescription pill that you take before your appointment. You will need a ride to and from your appointment.
• IV sedation is the strongest form we offer. You won’t be completely knocked out during your treatment — you will be able to communicate with us — but you likely won’t remember much after the fact. If you receive IV sedation, you will need to arrange a ride home from our office.
