Meet Dr. Jacob Greaves
Born and raised in North Ogden, Utah, Dr. Jacob Greaves joined Uptown Dental Associates in 2018. Having first attended Weber State University near his childhood home in Utah, Dr. Greaves earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, with Minors in Chemistry and French, which he speaks fluently, having served as a missionary for his church in Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Greaves later attended the University of Utah Dental School, matriculating as only the second class to graduate from the new Dental School. This new program offered exceptional training to Dr. Greaves, providing him with as many as 10 times the number of procedural cases that most dental students see across the United States.
Committed to personal and clinical excellence, Dr. Greaves has received extensive training in several areas of dentistry and IV sedation while receiving several awards upon completing his degree at the University of Utah, including:
- Excellence in Implant Dentistry from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry
- Excellence in Service from the University of Utah
- Excellence in Endodontics (root canals) from the University Endodontic Dept.
- Excellence in Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, and dentures) from the University Prosthodontics Dept.
Dr. Greaves one of the best dentist in Albuquerque is committed to staying at the top of his field. Currently participating in an extensive Implant Fellowship through New York University, Dr. Greaves also recently completed implant training in the Dominican Republic, where he has visited several times to participate in dental service missions.
When not perfecting his craft (or searching for the future Mrs. Greaves), Dr. Greaves enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He has three older sisters and a good handful of nieces and nephews who think he's about the coolest guy ever. He enjoys being physically active and spending time at the lake.

Dr. Ermias Mehretab was born in Ethiopia and raised in Georgia. Dr. Mehretab obtained his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Biology at Arizona State University. He went on to get his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado. Wanting to be able to provide the best care possible, Dr. Mehretab continued his development as a dentist by completing residency at St. Vincent de Paul Dental Clinic where he obtained advanced training in all aspects of dentistry including Oral Surgery, Endodontics (root canals) and Implantology.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia Dr. Alan Sedell attended and received his dental degree and Endodontic Post-Doctoral training from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers University). Dr. Sedell is a Board Eligible Endodontist, who has served as an Assistant Professor in the graduate dental department at Fairleigh Dickinson University, an Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, and the faculty member teaching the dental residents at the North Hudson Community Action Corporation, an affiliate of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center where he has been on staff for the past 32 years.
