Here in our office we do a fair amount of Invisalign. Invisalign is a wonderful system, especially for adults who would like to get a nice, straight toothed smile without having to have brackets and wires on their teeth. It consists of a series of clear trays that actually snap onto the teeth, and every two weeks those trays get switched. Gradually over time, the forces that are applied by those trays move the teeth into the position that we want them to be in permanently. It's a wonderful system for adults because they don't have to feel self conscious of having metal mouth and looking like a teenager. Occasionally we'll have very complex cases that really are beyond the scope of Invisalign. For those cases, we work very closely with some fantastic orthodontists here in town that we will refer our patients to.
