Meet Dr. Romeo Barzegari

After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia Dr. Alan Sedell attended and received his dental degree and Endodontic Post-Doctoral training from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers University). Dr. Sedell is a Board Eligible Endodontist, who has served as an Assistant Professor in the graduate dental department at Fairleigh Dickinson University, an Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, and the faculty member teaching the dental residents at the North Hudson Community Action Corporation, an affiliate of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center where he has been on staff for the past 32 years.

Dr. Sedell also served as founder and president of the Ft. Lee Dental Study Club, an AGD approved continuing education provider for local practitioners. He has been a keynote lecturer on the use of new technologies in dentistry including the Surgical Operating Microscope. Dr. Sedell has had articles published in dental journals, and is a leader in the utilization of the dental microscope in endodontic practices as well as an expert in microsurgical endodontics and root canal therapy, and has lectured on the use of 3D Cone Beam Scans to general dentists to help increase their awareness of the benefits of utilizing these hi-tech CT Scans for superior Endodontic treatment, diagnosis, and surgical planning.

In addition to having performed thousands of successful root canals, Dr. Sedell has completed over 4,000 in-office endodontic surgeries and implant placements. Dr. Sedell is a member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Academy of Osseointegration, and the International College of Oral Implantologists and is licensed to practice Dentistry in New Jersey, New York, Colorado, and Arizona.

Additionally, Dr. Sedell devotes a great deal of his time and effort to further both his own as well as his colleagues’ knowledge and skills through comprehensive programs of advanced continuing dental education.

He has been voted one of America’s top dentists every year since 2011 by The National Consumer Advisory Board, by his peers through selection to the statewide New Jersey Magazine’s Best Dentists in New Jersey and to Bergen Magazine’s Best Dentists in Bergen County including most recently for 2021-2022.
