Understanding Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth are a third set of molars that generally make their appearance when people are in their late teens or early 20s. Sometimes they emerge without incident. Often, however, they don’t have enough space to come in correctly, or they are in the wrong position.

When these teeth become impacted or erupt incorrectly, they cause swelling, pain, infection, and other problems and must be removed.
